Emerging reports indicate that television and media giant Nexstar Media Group, which owns and operates 265 television stations nationwide, may have suffered a data breach at the hands of the threat actor ShinyHunters.
A June 11, 2026 post on Ransomware.live indicates that ShinyHunters, reportedly responsible for the 2026 cyberattacks on DentaQuest, ADT, and Instructure, claims to have breached over 1 million files in the potential Nexstar Media Group data breach, including Salesforce records and other corporate data that may contain sensitive personal information.
At the time this post was made, the suspected Nexstar data breach had not been confirmed.
