DentaQuest Cyberattack?: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the potential DentaQuest data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who may have had their information exposed in the reported incident, including current and former DentaQuest subscribers.
Possible DentaQuest Security Incident: What Happened?
DentaQuest, a major U.S. dental and vision insurance provider, has reportedly been hit by a data breach.
As indicated in a May 23, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.Live, cybercriminal group ShinyHunters, whose other 2026 targets include Instructure and ADT, has claimed responsibility for the cyberattack. ShinyHunters has not disclosed details about the compromised data but has threatened to release the stolen information on May 27.
Neither DentaQuest nor its parent company, Sun Life U.S. Dental, has yet confirmed the possible breach.
What You Can Do After the Potential DentaQuest Data Breach
If your information may have been exposed in the possible DentaQuest data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force DentaQuest to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
