DEX Data Breach?: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a possible DEX data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who believe their information may have been put at risk, including current and former Data Exchange Corporation employees and those associated with its clients.
Reports Emerge of Possible DEX Security Incident
Data Exchange Corporation, a technology solutions and end‑to‑end product lifecycle services company also known as DEX, may have suffered a data breach.
According to an April 30, 2026 post on dark web security site Ransomware.live, hacker group Payout Kings claimed to be responsible for an attack on DEX and to have exfiltrated 600 gigabytes of data from the company, including employees' and customers' personally identifiable information.
In June 2026, DataBreach.com published a searchable database that indexed the information reportedly exposed in the alleged DEX data breach, which it found to include 12,429,335 rows containing names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's licenses, addresses, phone numbers and emails.
At the time this post was made, the company had not confirmed the potential Data Exchange Corporation data breach.
Founded in 1980, DEX has grown from a parts and repair services company to an electromechanical manufacturing and engineering company serving the healthcare, IT communications, energy and securities industries.
What You Can Do
If you're affiliated with DEX and suspect your information could have been exposed, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, lost time, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force DEX to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
