Iroquois Memorial Hospital, a healthcare system operating in Illinois and Indiana, has reported a data breach linked to a December 2025 security incident at third-party data migration and archiving company Aesto Health.
A notice linked from the Iroquois website regarding the Aesto Health data breach states that certain personal and protected health information belonging to patients of Aesto's clients may have been viewed or acquired by an unauthorized individual in December 2025.
According to an August 26, 2026 report filed with the Vermont Attorney General's Office, the Iroquois Memorial Hospital data breach impacted Social Security numbers and health records.
Individuals affected by the incident are receiving notice from Aesto. A sample notice, shown below, states that names may have also been exposed.
Founded in 1916, Iroquois Memorial Hospital has grown to include six specialty clinics throughout Illinois and Indiana as well as a residential nursing home attached to its main hospital facility.
