Next Level Urgent Care Security Incident: What Happened?
Next Level Medical, which operates as Next Level Urgent Care, has reported a data breach that may have exposed sensitive information.
According to a notice posted to its website, the 45-location Texas healthcare provider became aware of suspicious activity within its environment on July 11 and 29, 2026. Following an investigation with cybersecurity experts, Next Level determined on August 31 that an unauthorized actor copied certain files from its environment.
Information that may have been exposed in the Next Level Urgent Care data breach, varying by individual, may include names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, medical information, health insurance information and demographic information.
Next Level Medical's review of the affected data is ongoing, and the company plans to notify potentially impacted individuals via written letter once it is completed.
Prior to the official disclosure, hacker group PEAR claimed to be responsible for an attack on Next Level Urgent Care, as reported in an August 26, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live.
