Turner Construction Security Incident: What Happened?
Turner Construction Company, a New York-based international construction services firm, has reported a data breach involving sensitive personal information.
A sample notification letter, shown below, states that the company recently identified a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to its systems and, following an investigation, determined that files containing personal information were accessible between July 2 and July 15, 2026.
After reviewing the affected files, Turner Construction concluded that the incident impacted names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, salaries, bank account information (used for direct deposit), home addresses, and, for some individuals, passport numbers.
The Turner Construction data breach was reported to the California Attorney General's Office on August 18; the company began sending written notices to affected individuals on the same day.
