Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club Security Incident: What Happened?
Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club, a Cape Cod, Massachusetts vacation resort and golf course, has reported a data breach that may have exposed personal information.
According to a notice posted to its website, Ocean Edge became aware of suspicious activity within its network on July 31, 2025. An investigation into the incident revealed that an unauthorized actor gained access to the company's network and copied certain files between July 22 and 31 of that year.
Ocean Edge’s review of the compromised files revealed that the breach may have affected names, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account information, medical information, health insurance information and dates of birth. The degree of information potentially exposed varied by individual.
Ocean Edge is currently in the process of notifying individuals who may have been affected by the incident.
The Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club data breach was also reported to the Vermont Attorney General's Office on August 25, 2026.
