Datamaxx Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Datamaxx data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Datamaxx Applied Technologies, Inc. revealed that it suffered a security incident in December 2023, which led to unauthorized access to certain files. The data breach, spanning from December 1 to December 17, prompted the company to hire independent cybersecurity experts to assist in an investigation. After a review, on November 12, 2024, Datamaxx discovered that personal information was among the compromised data. The company, which provides advanced communications, data access, information sharing and more, is currently notifying affected individuals.
According to a report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office, the Datamaxx data breach may have exposed Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers and medical information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Datamaxx to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
