Yellow Corporation Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Yellow Corporation data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the Yellow Corporation data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Yellow Corporation Security Incident: What Happened?
Yellow Corporation, a trucking and freight company that ceased operations in 2023, has reported a data breach involving sensitive personal information.
According to a June 26, 2026 online notice, Yellow identified suspicious network activity on or about March 27, 2025. An investigation assisted by third-party specialists found that some files were accessed and stolen on the same day.
A review of the files compromised in the Yellow Corporation data breach concluded that most of the affected information belongs to former Yellow employees. Names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s license or state ID card numbers, passport numbers, other government-issued ID numbers, financial account numbers, payment card numbers, medical information, and health insurance information may have been affected in the Yellow data breach.
Yellow Corporation has not been able to verify contact information for potentially affected individuals, so it is providing notification via an online notice and a media release (pictured below).
Subsidiaries of the now-defunct Yellow Corporation include YRC Freight, New Penn, Holland, and Reddaway.
What You Can Do After the Yellow Corporation Data Breach
If your information was exposed in the Yellow Corporation data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
