A notice posted to Barnhart’s website states that the company discovered a security incident that affected its network systems between April 23 and April 24, 2025. Upon discovery, Barnhart engaged third-party cybersecurity experts to investigate the scope of the breach and potential data exposure.
On April 21, 2026, the investigation revealed that certain files with personal information might have been accessed or acquired without authorization. The data potentially compromised in the Barnhart Crane & Rigging data breach includes full names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, passport numbers, financial account details, birthdates, health information, and insurance details.
The company began notifying those potentially affected by the Barnhart data breach on May 21, 2026.
