More Platforms Added to Social Casino Investigation

The list of online social casinos and sportsbooks under investigation has grown even longer this week as attorneys continue to investigate platforms that may be costing players real money despite being advertised as free to play. If you played and lost money on Moozi, ReBet, Sorcery Reels, Fliff, Jackpot Go or one of several other platforms in the last couple of years, learn how you can join others taking action on this page.

Lawsuit: Uber Eats “Priority Fee” Is a Sham

A proposed class action alleges that Uber Eats has swindled customers into paying a “priority fee” for food deliveries that are not delivered directly to them as advertised—and even encourages drivers to make other stops along the way. According to the case, the priority fee is merely a “sham surcharge for a guarantee that Uber has no means of keeping and may actively work to undermine.” Interested in the details? Learn more here.

Steve Madden Faces Lawsuit Over Sale Prices
Steve Madden has been hit with a proposed class action that alleges the footwear and apparel brand has advertised products as marked down from inflated reference prices to make it appear as though consumers are getting a significant discount. The case claims that the “strikethrough” reference prices are not genuine former prices and are used simply to create the impression of a better deal. Read up on the allegations here.
CeraVe Lawsuit Filed Over Baby Skincare Products

That is not the case, however, with CeraVe’s “Baby” Healing Ointment and Eczema Cream, according to a recently filed suit. The case alleges that the products are identical to the regular versions despite the higher price and baby-centric marketing. Read more.
