Quantum Health Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Quantum Health data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the Quantum Health data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Quantum Health Security Incident: What Happened?
Quantum Health, a healthcare technology and services organization based in Ohio, has reported a data breach involving sensitive information.
According to a notice mailed to affected individuals, which can be seen below, the company detected a service outage affecting the availability of certain systems on June 1, 2026. Upon investigating the outage, Quantum Health determined that the incident was related to unauthorized access to its IT network between May 29 and June 1 after a user responded to a vishing call.
The investigation further determined on July 8, 2026 that the incident exposed health-related information, including health insurance information (such as policy number and claims/benefits information), medical information, treatment information, diagnoses, prescriptions, provider names and dates of service. The breach also impacted names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, phone numbers and demographic information.
The total number of individuals affected by the Quantum Health data breach has not been publicly disclosed.
The breach was reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on July 30, 2026.
