NAHGA Claim Services Security Incident: What Happened?
NAHGA Claim Services, a third-party administrator that processes accident insurance claims for a range of organizations, has reported to the Maine Attorney General’s Office a data breach impacting the personal information of 5,072 people.
The company learned of unusual activity within its computer systems on April 10, 2025. An investigation later determined that certain files may have been obtained without authorization between April 8 and April 11 of this year. A review of the files potentially affected by the NAHGA Claim Services data breach was concluded in October 2025.
According to a notice posted on the company’s website, the incident may have exposed individuals’ names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, health insurance data, and medical or treatment details. A letter from NAHGA’s attorneys states that passport numbers may also have been involved.
Those impacted by the NAHGA data breach were sent notice of the incident on November 14, 2025.
