Infutor Data Leak?: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the reported Infutor data leak.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who may have had their information exposed in the reported incident, including those who receive notice of the breach from other companies that employ Infutor's services.
Infutor Security Incident: What Happened?
According to a March 9, 2026 article on DailyDarkWeb, Infutor, a platform that helps companies identify new customers and verify existing ones, has reportedly been involved in a data breach affecting 676,798,866 unique records.
DailyDarkWeb reports that the potentially leaked data includes full names, dates of birth, physical addresses, phone numbers, and Social Security numbers. In a March 3 report, cybersecurity company SOCRadar concluded that the reported exposure resulted from a misconfigured Elasticsearch database. Elasticsearch is a platform that applications use to store, search, and analyze data.
Infutor serves a range of industries, including insurance, consumer finance, higher education, platforms and service providers, and real estate and home services. As a result, many consumers without a direct relationship with Infutor could be affected, as companies in these sectors use Infutor for marketing and customer insights.
In January 2026, data analytics company Verisk Marketing Solutions, which had previously bought Infutor in 2022, was acquired by ActiveProspect.
What You Can Do After the Possible Infutor Data Leak
