Illumifin Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Illumifin data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the Illumifin data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Illumifin Security Incident: What Happened?
Illumifin, an insurance technology company and third-party administrator serving over 100 insurance carriers nationwide, has disclosed a data breach affecting client information.
A sample notification letter (pictured below) submitted to the California Attorney General's Office states that Illumifin detected suspicious activity within its network on November 4, 2025. The company engaged a third-party forensic firm, which found that an unauthorized individual accessed the network and obtained copies of specific files.
By November 10, 2025, it was concluded that these files might contain client-provided information. A review was conducted to determine the data involved.
Illumifin is informing affected clients, including Liberty Bankers Life, and providing a list of affected individuals.
