As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
U.S. Dermatology Partners Security Incident: What Happened?
U.S. Dermatology Partners, one of the nation's largest dermatology practices with over 100 locations across Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, and Virginia, is notifying patients about a data breach involving their personal information. The incident was discovered following a network disruption on June 19, 2024. Upon detection, U.S. Dermatology Partners secured its network and enlisted external forensic experts to investigate.
It was found that an unauthorized party accessed the network and transferred certain files externally on the same day. A review of the files was completed on April 2, 2025, identifying potentially compromised data, which may include names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, health insurance details, and specifics about patients' dermatology services. For some, Social Security and driver's license numbers were also involved.
Furthermore, according to a report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office, addresses and financial information may have also been exposed in the U.S. Dermatology Partners data breach. The entity listed in the report is Oliver Street Dermatology Management LLC, which reportedly does business as U.S. Dermatology Partners.
On May 30, 2025, U.S. Dermatology Partners began mailing data breach notice letters to affected individuals.
What You Can Do
If your information was exposed in the data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force U.S. Dermatology Partners to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
