Community Realty Management Security Incident: What Happened?
Community Realty Management, Inc., now known as CRM Residential, is notifying the public of a data breach that may have compromised personal information. The company, which offers property management services across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Virginia, Oklahoma, Indiana, Missouri, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, discovered suspicious activity in its email system last year.
An investigation determined that there was unauthorized access to several email accounts between September 10 and October 22, 2024. A review, concluding on April 14, 2025, then determined the information exposed and to whom it belonged. Community Realty Management has since located addresses for those potentially impacted and is in the process of mailing notifications to these individuals.
Information compromised in the Community Realty Management data breach varies by individual, potentially including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, passport numbers, financial details, payment card information, medical data, and health insurance information.
