700Credit Security Incident: What Happened?
700Credit, LLC, which provides services to automotive, RV, Powersports, and Marine dealerships nationwide to assist with consumer financing options, has disclosed a significant data breach. On or around October 25, 2025, the company detected suspicious activity in its web application. With assistance from third-party forensic specialists, 700Credit confirmed that certain customer records from its dealership clients were copied without authorization. The data was reportedly collected between May and October 2025.
The investigation, now concluded, identified that the compromised information may include names, addresses, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. The company has completed a review to determine the affected individuals and is now providing notifications on behalf of its dealership clients.
According to TechCrunch, the 700Credit data breach affected at least 5.6 million people.
