Issue #359

Did You Use Byte Dental Products?

In this issue, we’re taking a look at an alternative type of legal action being pursued in the case of Byte’s dental aligners, plus a new class action investigation involving potential wage violations for certain healthcare employees.

Plus, if you went online to buy that new book or replacement mattress, your data may not be as secure as you think. More on that below.

Then, we have new settlements for you as always, including one in a case filed over allegedly “fake” discounts at an online jewelry retailer. Keep reading for the latest.

Byte Aligners: Sign Up for the Mass Arbitration

Byte has been accused of falsely advertising its aligner system and impression kits as safe and effective despite reports of dental injuries associated with their use. Attorneys are now pursuing legal action on behalf of people who purchased Byte products, including (but not limited to) those who experienced physical harm. This page has all the details, including information on what consumers could be owed.

New Online Privacy Investigations: Purple, Barnes & Noble

If you bought something off Purple.com or BarnesandNoble.com, these companies may not have been entirely honest about how they handle your personal data. Attorneys believe the sites may be using tracking technology from PayPal to secretly gather information about people who visit them, including which products they view. Learn more about these and other data privacy investigations over on this page.
