The Shapermint class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on July 31, 2025.
The settlement covers anyone who, between April 19, 2020 and July 31, 2025 and while residing in California, purchased at least four non-accessory clothing items on Shapermint.com from the Essentials, Empetua or Truekind labels that were sold at an allegedly discounted price listed on the website below the “original” or suggested retail price of the item.
The court-approved website for the Shapermint settlement can be found at ShapermintPricingSettlement.com.
No action is required on the part of Shapermint settlement class members, an estimated 684,309 people, to receive a $6 voucher from the settlement for use on Shapermint.com.
However, Shapermint class members who submit a timely, valid claim form and provide proof of purchase can receive a $1 voucher for each additional item purchased between April 19, 2020 and July 31, 2025, up to a maximum of $12.
To submit a claim form online, class members can visit this page and log in with the email address and last name they used to place an order on Shapermint.com.
All claim forms must be submitted by November 5, 2025.
A hearing is set for December 15, 2025 to determine whether the Shapermint settlement will receive final court approval. Settlement benefits will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Shapermint class action lawsuit claimed that the company falsely advertised many discounts, promotions and sales on its website. The case alleged that the offers were time-limited when, in fact, they were long-lasting, such that they could not be counted as sales or discounts and were instead the actual retail prices of certain items.
