Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center Security Incident: What Happened?
In early September 2025, Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center confirmed that it was investigating a potential data breach after a hacker group claimed to have stolen patient records from the Alaska healthcare provider. A local news outlet reported on September 5 that 10,000 patient records, which included personal information such as addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's licenses and insurance information, may have been leaked.
According to a notice on its website, Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center is conducting a forensic investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity experts and has notified law enforcement. Though the investigation is ongoing, the center said affected individuals will receive direct notice of the incident.
On September 15, 2025, Alaska's News Source reported that the hackers claimed to have leaked an additional 50,000 patient records online, meaning at least 60,000 patients may have been impacted by the Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center data breach.
