Pollard & Associates Security Incident: What Happened?
Pollard & Associates, a third-party administration firm in the Greater Baltimore area that administers retirement plans for employer groups, has announced a data security incident potentially impacting personal information. The Pollard & Associates data breach was discovered around May 15, 2025, when suspicious activity was detected on its network. The company initiated an investigation with computer forensic experts, revealing that certain files were copied without permission on April 8, 2025.
A review, concluded on July 15, 2025, identified the scope of impacted data, which varies by individual and may include names, financial account details, and Social Security numbers. Pollard & Associates is now reaching out to those affected via mail.
According to a report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, the Pollard & Associates data breach impacted 17,907 individuals.
