TRADS Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the TransUnion Risk and Alternative Data Solutions data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
TransUnion Risk and Alternative Data Solutions (TRADS) detected suspicious activity involving attempts to access data files and consumer accounts for some TransUnion products and launched an investigation on July 24, 2024.
Upon completing its investigation on September 10, 2024, TRADS determined that while its systems’ security remained uncompromised, individuals had misrepresented themselves to access the company’s products, potentially exposing names and other personal information.
A summary report from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office shows that the TransUnion Risk and Alternative Data Solutions data breach may have also impacted individuals’ Social Security numbers and driver’s licenses.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force TRADS to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
