Langdon & Company LLP, a Garner, North Carolina-based accounting firm, recently faced a data breach affecting sensitive information belonging to patients of Easterseals North Carolina & Virginia, to which the firm provides financial and accounting services. Langdon detected unusual network activity on April 28, 2024 and secured its systems with the help of cybersecurity experts. An investigation into the Langdon & Company data breach revealed that files were accessed and taken from the firm's network between April 21 and April 28, 2024.

These files contained personal data such as names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, taxpayer IDs, financial details, medical and health insurance information, and digital signatures.
Langdon & Company reported the data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on August 1, 2025, indicating that 46,061 individuals were affected.
