HUB International Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the HUB International data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
HUB International Limited (HUB), an insurance broker, disclosed a data breach that occurred between December 2022 and January 2023, when an unknown individual gained access to some of its computer systems and copied files stored therein.
According to an online data breach notice, the incident may have exposed consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, financial account information, and health insurance and medical information. It’s been reported that 514,477 individuals were affected by the HUB International data breach, including current and former employees, individuals for whom HUB places insurance policies and those associated with insurance carriers and employers to whom HUB provides services.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force HUB International to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
