zHealth Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the zHealth data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the zHealth data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.

zHealth Security Incident: What Happened?

zHealth, a California-based healthcare software company, has reported a data breach involving sensitive information.

According to a notice posted to its website, zHealth became aware on or around June 15, 2026 that certain information may have been copied from its network environment by an unauthorized third party. Following an investigation with forensic specialists, the company determined that the activity occurred between January 20 and 21, 2026.

On September 3, zHealth completed a review of the information potentially impacted during the incident, which included names, medical information and health insurance information.

zHealth began sending notice to individuals who were potentially affected by the incident on September 11; a sample can be seen below.

The zHealth data breach was also reported to the Texas Attorney General's Office on September 15.
