Decisely Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Decisely data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Decisely Security Incident: What Happened?
Georgia-based Decisely Insurance Services, LLC, which offers insurance brokerage and HR services such as payroll and retirement solutions to employers, recently experienced a data breach. This incident may have involved personal information that was retained by the company because of its relationship with MetLife and employers and benefit plan providers.
The data breach was discovered on December 17, 2024, when suspicious activity was noted on Decisely's cloud storage platform. An investigation into the Decisely data breach revealed that unauthorized acquisition of individuals' information may have occurred on December 16, 2024.
The compromised data potentially includes names, dates of birth, phone numbers, passport numbers, digital signatures, and Social Security numbers. A report submitted to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation also indicates that financial account information may have been exposed.
An analysis helped identify the affected individuals, who began receiving notifications on June 13, 2025. Decisely worked with data owners to obtain the necessary contact information for notifications.
What You Can Do After the Decisely Data Breach
If your information was exposed in the data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Decisely to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
