Although Spotify claims to prohibit undisclosed pay-for-play arrangements, the case alleges the platform’s discovery mode and other personalized playlists are indeed rooted in a modern-day version of payola, a scheme whereby money is paid to promote a piece of music with the hope of it gaining wider exposure. Learn more here. | | A recently filed lawsuit is alleging that Naked Nutrition’s Mass Vegan Mass Gainer protein powder contains dangerous, undisclosed levels of lead and other heavy metals. The lawsuit claims that Naked has intentionally misrepresented the powder by touting the supplement as a premium product “with nothing to hide” and by including no label disclosure about the presence of heavy metals.
