Oglethorpe Security Incident: What Happened?
Oglethorpe, Inc., a Florida-based company offering management solutions for health centers, wellness clinics, and hospitals specializing in psychiatric services and drug and alcohol rehabilitation, has announced a data breach that may have exposed personal information. On June 6, 2025, the company detected unauthorized access to its network, prompting an investigation with third-party forensic specialists. The investigation, completed on September 16, 2025, confirmed that personal data was accessed by an unauthorized party.
The potentially accessed information includes names, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, and medical data. After completing a data review on October 23, 2025, Oglethorpe began notifying affected individuals via mail. According to a report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, 92,332 individuals are affected by the Oglethorpe data breach.
