The Michael Kors class action lawsuit claimed that the retailer illegally implemented a false price-discounting scheme, in which it listed inflated ‘reference’ or original prices for products on sale to make the discounts appear better than they actually were. The case went on to accuse Michael Kors of offering “perpetual” discounts on its products, indicating that the reference prices were not indicative of the actual pre-sale price of the products.
