Rheumatology Associates of Baltimore Security Incident: What Happened?
Rheumatology Associates of Baltimore recently notified the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that 28,968 people were affected by a data breach.
In a notice posted on its website, the Baltimore healthcare provider stated that the breach involved its third-party vendor, Endue Software. On February 17, 2025, Endue learned of unauthorized activity in its systems and commenced an investigation. The investigation determined that an unauthorized actor had accessed parts of Endue's computer systems on February 16, 2025 and copied files containing personal information, including data belonging to patients of Rheumatology Associates of Baltimore.
The Endue Software data breach may have exposed patients' names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth and medical record numbers.
According to Rheumatology Associates of Baltimore, Endue is sending direct notice of the incident to affected patients for whom it has mailing address information.
