Eland Energy Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Eland Energy data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
In the notice letter, Eland Energy says it identified an unauthorized user on its server in the early morning hours of January 19, 2024. Following an investigation into the security breach, the oil and natural gas company discovered that certain personal information was stored within the hacked server.
The compromised information may include details such as first and last names, addresses, dates of birth, phone numbers and Social Security numbers, though the specific data accessed may vary for each individual. Approximately 18,237 people are reportedly affected by the data breach.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Eland Energy to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
