Eckerd Connects Security Incident: What Happened?
Eckerd Youth Alternatives, which does business as Eckerd Connects, is notifying individuals of a data breach potentially affecting personal and health information. On or around November 11, 2024, suspicious activity was detected within the company's network, prompting a response that included taking systems offline and engaging experts to investigate the Eckerd Connects data breach.
The investigation revealed that unauthorized access occurred between November 3 and November 11, 2024. The compromised data may include names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, tax identification numbers, and medical information.
Eckerd Connects, a Clearwater, Florida-based non-profit offering workforce development, job training, and community-based services, began notifying affected individuals on December 17, 2025. According to a report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, the Eckerd Connects data breach impacted 68,585 individuals.
