Dobie Road Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the data breach impacting Dobie Road.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were affected.
Ingham County Medical Care Facility, a skilled nursing center in Okemos, Michigan operating as Dobie Road, was informed on July 20, 2024 that its third-party electronic health records manager had experienced a data breach. According to a data breach notice on the facility's website, Dobie Road learned on September 19, 2024, that personal information of current and former patients or residents might have been compromised.
The breached data potentially included names, addresses, and, in some instances, Social Security numbers. Notification letters were dispatched to potentially impacted individuals on December 27, 2024, detailing the incident and specifying which personal information might have been exposed.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Dobie Road to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
