California Casualty Security Incident: What Happened?
California Casualty Indemnity Exchange, California Casualty Insurance Company, California Casualty & Fire Insurance Company, and California Casualty General Insurance Company of Oregon have reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to their IT network. The insurance providers, known collectively as California Casualty, determined that an unauthorized individual accessed the network between September 2 and September 8, 2025 and copied certain files.

This information varied per individual and included details such as names, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state ID numbers, dates of birth, tax identification numbers and financial account numbers.
Notification letters are being sent out starting November 19, 2025 to those affected by the California Casualty Indemnity Exchange data breach.
