Ardent Health Services Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Ardent Health Services data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Ardent Health Services and its affiliated entities, which operate 30 hospitals across six states, experienced a ransomware attack on November 23, 2023. During an investigation into the incident, it was discovered that the unauthorized actor had extracted copies of certain documents containing personal information. According to a notice posted on Ardent's website, the types of information potentially accessed include patient contact details, Social Security numbers, medical treatment information, health insurance and claims data, and Medicaid/Medicare numbers.
Starting January 22, 2024, Ardent has begun sending letters to affected individuals to inform them about the incident.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Ardent Health Services to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
