Did You Drive for Uber? Sign Up and Take Action

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are pursuing legal action against Uber over claims the company misclassifies its drivers as independent contractors instead of employees. The attorneys believe that drivers may therefore be losing out on certain employment benefits, such as minimum wage, overtime pay and expense reimbursement. They’re now signing up drivers who worked 40+ hours in at least one week in the past three years to take action. Learn more here.

Sur La Table Shoppers: Do You Receive Marketing Emails?

If you receive emails from Sur La Table about its sales, this story is for you. Attorneys believe the high-end food and kitchenware retailer may misrepresent the true duration of its deals, promoting them as “limited time” only to then routinely extend them, which could indicate the sales were never as time-sensitive as advertised. Learn how to join others taking action and why those affected could be owed $100s here.

U-Haul Hidden Fee Investigation: Sign Up Today

U-Haul promotes itself as a cheap, self-service option, but attorneys working with ClassAction.org believe the company may illegally sneak extra fees onto customers’ rentals by adding an “environmental fee” and a “vehicle license/cost recovery fee” at the very end of the checkout process, when consumers are less likely to bail on a transaction. If you rented a U-Haul in the last two years, learn more and sign up here

Lawsuit Filed Over Costco Grain-Free Dog Food

A recently filed lawsuit alleges that Costco has deceptively marketed its Kirkland Signature Nature's Domain grain-free dog food as healthy and safe despite scientific research suggesting that grain-free diets high in legumes and pulse ingredients may increase a dog’s risk of a fatal heart disease.
