$1.9M Renaissance Faire Settlement Ends Class Action Lawsuit Over Alleged Ticket Service Charges

Renaissance Entertainment Productions has agreed to a $1,900,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the entertainment company failed to disclose an additional service charge to those purchasing online tickets to its Renaissance Faire in Tuxedo, New York.

The $1.9 million Renaissance Entertainment Productions class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on May 27, 2026. The agreement covers all individuals in the United States who purchased an electronic ticket to the New York Renaissance Faire between August 29, 2022 and April 4, 2025.
The court-approved website for the New York Renaissance Faire ticket fee settlement can be found at NYRenFaireTicketFeeSettlement.com.
Renaissance Faire settlement class members who file a valid, timely claim form can receive a cash payment of up to $20.
To file a Renaissance Faire settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and log in using the unique ID and PIN listed on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Renaissance Faire settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by August 24, 2026.
Renaissance Entertainment Productions has also acknowledged that it changed the purchase flow for online tickets and has agreed to continue to comply with New York law going forward.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Renaissance Faire settlement following a hearing on September 22, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Renaissance Entertainment Productions class action lawsuit alleged that the operator of the New York Renaissance Faire failed to timely disclose an additional $4.82 in service and order fees added to online ticket purchases in violation of the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law.
