A Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union settlement offers cash and financial monitoring to individuals affected by a July 2024 data breach.
Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union has agreed to a settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the financial institution failed to protect private information in its care from a July 2024 data breach.

The Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on May 7, 2026. The deal covers all United States residents whose personal information was compromised in the data breach experienced by Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union on or around July 17, 2024 until July 27, 2024, including all those who received notice of the breach.
Court documents state that approximately 9,567 people are covered by the settlement.

Parks Heritage settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $4,500 for documented out-of-pocket losses incurred between July 17, 2024 and September 8, 2026 arising from the data breach. This benefit covers losses resulting from identity theft or fraud and costs for credit reports, credit monitoring, credit repair services, freezing or unfreezing credit, professional fees, replacement IDs, postage and more.
Class members must submit proof, such as bank statements or receipts, to receive a documented-loss payment.
As part of this benefit, class members can also submit a claim form to receive reimbursement for up to four hours of lost time spent responding to the data breach at a rate of $25 per hour, subject to the $4,500 cap for documented-loss payments.
In lieu of any other cash payment, class members can submit a claim form to receive an alternative cash payment of $75, with no proof required.
Finally, in addition to monetary relief, all class members can file a claim form to receive an activation code for two years of CyEx Financial Shield Complete, which includes one-bureau credit monitoring and financial fraud insurance.
To submit a Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Parks Heritage claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than September 8, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the Parks Heritage settlement final approval following a hearing on November 2, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Parks Heritage Federal Credit Union class action lawsuit alleged that the New York-based financial institution failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect private information on its systems from a July 2024 data breach.
Per court documents, private information that may have been compromised in the breach included names, Social Security numbers, financial information, credit card numbers and debit card numbers.
