A class action settlement ends a lawsuit over St. Joseph Hospital of Nashua, N.H.'s alleged use of tracking pixels in its MyChart patient portal.

St. Joseph Hospital of Nashua, N.H. has agreed to a settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the healthcare provider installed tracking pixels in its MyChart patient portal that surreptitiously transmitted patients’ personal health information to Microsoft.

The St. Joseph Hospital of Nashua, N.H. class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on April 30, 2026. The deal covers all individuals who used a MyChart patient portal account associated with St. Joseph from January 1, 2023 to the present.

St. Joseph MyChart settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive a $50 cash payment, with no proof required.
To submit a St. Joseph claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the class member ID found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All St. Joseph settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than August 14, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the St. Joseph Hospital of Nashua, N.H. settlement final approval following a hearing on September 14, 2026. Compensation will only begin to be distributed to class members after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The St. Joseph Hospital of Nashua, N.H. class action lawsuit alleged that the hospital unlawfully collected, used and disclosed to third parties, particularly Microsoft, the personally identifiable and protected health information of patients who visited the St. Joseph MyChart patient portal via hidden tracking pixels.
