The CSC ServiceWorks class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on March 4, 2026. The deal covers all United States residents whose personally identifiable information was compromised in the data breach announced by CSC in or around August 2024.
Court documents state that approximately 35,000 people are covered by the class action settlement.
The court-approved website for the CSC ServiceWorks data breach settlement can be found at CSCServiceWorksDataSettlement.com.
According to the website, CSC ServiceWorks settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $5,000 for out-of-pocket losses stemming from the CSC ServiceWorks data breach. Losses covered by this benefit include expenses related to credit reports, credit monitoring, identity theft insurance, bank fees, data charges, and other costs, such as postage, incurred between September 23, 2023 and July 2, 2026.
Class members must include with their claim form adequate documentation, such as receipts, to receive reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses.
Class members may also receive compensation for up to four hours of lost time spent responding to the data breach, at a rate of $25 per hour, with no proof required. The settlement website says that compensation for lost time is subject to the $5,000 out-of-pocket loss cap.
In addition to monetary benefits, all class members may file a claim form to receive two free years of IDX Identity Protection Services, which includes one-bureau credit monitoring and identity theft insurance.
To file a CSC ServiceWorks data breach claim form online, class members can head to this page and log in using their last name and the claimant ID found on their copy of the settlement notice.
All CSC ServiceWorks settlement claim forms must be submitted by July 2, 2026.
Finally, as part of the settlement, CSC ServiceWorks has agreed to implement enhanced cybersecurity safeguards to help prevent future data incidents.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the CSC ServiceWorks data breach settlement following a hearing on July 28, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval is granted and any appeals are resolved.
The CSC ServiceWorks class action lawsuit alleged that the technology platform, which serves laundromats, tire inflation services and vacuum services, failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect the sensitive consumer information stored on its systems, which led to a data breach between September 23, 2023, and February 4, 2024.
Per court documents, private information that may have been compromised during the breach included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, contact information, driver’s license numbers, financial information, health insurance information, medical information and other personally identifiable information.
