CSC ServiceWorks Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the CSC ServiceWorks data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
CSC ServiceWorks recently disclosed a data breach that may have exposed the personal information of 35,340 individuals to unauthorized entities. The commercial laundry service provider detected unusual network activity on February 4, 2024, and found that an unauthorized third party had accessed a portion of its computer system from September 23, 2023, to February 4, 2024.
CSC ServiceWorks collaborated with cybersecurity experts to investigate the breach and employed a data-review firm to identify the compromised data. Results obtained on June 17, 2024, indicate that information compromised in the CSC ServiceWorks data breach includes individuals’ names, dates of birth, contact details, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, health insurance information, limited medical data and certain financial details, such as bank account and routing numbers. The company is currently working to notify those who were impacted.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force CSC ServiceWorks to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
