Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium Settlement Ends Lawsuit Over 2023 Data Breach

Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium has agreed to a settlement to end a class action lawsuit that alleged the company, which provides administrative services for school districts, failed to protect confidential information from a February 2023 data breach.

The Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on June 10, 2026. The deal covers all individuals in the United States who received notice of the data breach from Arrowhead.

Court documents state that approximately 65,379 people are included in the settlement class.

Arrowhead settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive reimbursement for up to four hours of lost time spent addressing the data breach, at a rate of $20 per hour.

Additionally, all class members who submit a valid, timely claim form are eligible to receive two years of three-bureau credit monitoring.

To submit an Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the claim ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, fill out, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.

All settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by October 8, 2026.

The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium settlement following a hearing on October 12, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.

The Arrowhead Regional Computing Consortium class action lawsuit alleged that the company, which provides payroll and student data system services to school districts in Minnesota, failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect confidential information from a data breach on February 6, 2023.

Court documents state that private information that may have been compromised in the cyber incident included names, Social Security numbers, and student educational records.
