The $850,000 Willow TV class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on April 22, 2026. The deal covers all individuals in the United States who subscribed to Willow TV and watched prerecorded videos on Willow.tv at any time between July 20, 2021 and September 22, 2023.
Court documents state that approximately 75,830 people are covered by the class action settlement.
The court-approved website for the Willow TV settlement can be found at WillowTVVPPASettlement.com.
Willow TV settlement class members who file a valid, timely claim form can receive a cash payment from the deal. The final value of each class member’s payout will depend on a number of factors, including the total number of valid claims filed.
Court documents note that if more than $100,000 remains in the net settlement fund after the initial distribution of settlement payouts, class members may receive an additional payment.
To file a Willow TV settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and log in using the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF of the claim form to print, fill out, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Willow TV settlement claim forms must be submitted online or by mail by July 21, 2026.
In addition to monetary relief, Willow TV has also agreed to significant injunctive relief. In September 2023, after the initial complaint had been filed, Willow TV removed the Meta Pixel from its website and has no plans to reinstall it or other similar trackers, court documents state.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Willow TV settlement following a hearing on February 25, 2027. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals are resolved.
The Willow TV class action lawsuit claimed that tracking software embedded onto the Willow.tv cricket streaming service, namely the Meta Pixel, obtained viewers’ personally identifiable information and shared it with Meta without express consent, in violation of the federal VPPA and California’s Unfair Competition Law.
