$824K Oak View Group Settlement Resolves Data Breach Lawsuit Over 2023 Cyberattack

An $824K Oak View Group settlement offers cash and credit monitoring to individuals whose info may have been impacted by a Nov. 2023 data breach.
Oak View Group, LLC has agreed to an $824,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the sports and entertainment venue management firm failed to safeguard private information on its network from a targeted cyberattack in November 2023.

The $824,000 Oak View Group class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on April 17, 2026. The settlement covers all individuals whose personally identifiable information was compromised as a result of the data breach discovered by Oak View Group in November 2023 and for which the company provided notice on or about January 2024.
Court documents state that approximately 60,672 people are covered by the class action settlement.

Oak View Group settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses incurred between November 26, 2023 and August 15, 2026 because of the data breach. This benefit covers expenses related to identity theft and fraud and costs for credit reports, credit monitoring, replacement IDs, and more.
Class members must submit proof, such as receipts or bank statements, to receive a documented-loss payment.
Additionally, all class members can submit a claim form to receive a one-time pro rata cash payment, with no proof required. The amount of this payout is expected to be $150 for California residents and $50 for residents of all other states.
The final amount of each class member’s cash payout may be larger or smaller, depending on the total number of valid claims filed.
Finally, all class members can file a claim form to receive two years of CyEx Identity Defense Complete, which includes credit monitoring, dark web scanning, and identity theft insurance.
To submit an Oak View Group settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the unique ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All Oak View Group settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked no later than August 15, 2026.
The court will determine whether to grant the Oak View Group data breach settlement final approval following a hearing on August 13, 2026. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Oak View Group class action lawsuit alleged that the professional sports and live entertainment venue management company failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect private information in its care, allegedly leading to a data breach discovered on or around November 26, 2023.
According to court documents, information that may have been compromised in the breach included full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, demographic information and driver’s license or state or federal ID numbers.
