The SeatGeek class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on September 9, 2026. Eligible for the settlement are all individuals who purchased electronic tickets to events in Nevada from www.SeatGeek.com and/or the SeatGeek mobile app from November 7, 2020 to May 12, 2025 and were charged fees.
Court documents state that approximately 340,202 people are included in the settlement class.
The court-authorized SeatGeek class action settlement website can be found at SeatGeekTicketFeesSettlement.com.
The amount of money each class member can receive from the settlement will depend on the total amount in fees SeatGeek retained from their purchase.
Settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form and paid more than $0 in out-of-pocket fees can receive a pro rata (proportional) cash payment. The amount of this payout will be equal to the out-of-pocket fees paid by the class member and retained by SeatGeek divided by the total amount of fees retained by SeatGeek collectively for every class member, multiplied by the amount of money available in the net settlement fund.
Class members who file a timely, valid claim form and paid $0 or less for out-of-pocket fees (either because of refunds, chargebacks or a similar issue) can instead receive a $15 cash payment.
To file a SeatGeek settlement claim form online, class members can navigate to this page and enter the login ID and PIN found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete and return by mail to the settlement administrator.
All SeatGeek settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by January 5, 2027.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the SeatGeek class action settlement following a hearing on January 12, 2027. Settlement benefits will begin to be distributed only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The SeatGeek class action lawsuit alleged that the online ticket platform deceptively failed to disclose the total cost of electronic tickets, including fees, before consumers selected the tickets for purchase, in violation of Nevada’s Ticket Reseller Law and the state’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
