$600K Crossroads Trading Settlement Resolves Class Action Lawsuit Over 2025 Data Breach

Crossroads Trading Company has agreed to a $600,000 settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit that alleged the used clothing reseller failed to protect private information from a February 2025 data breach.

The Crossroads Trading class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on June 15, 2026. United States residents whose private information may have been compromised or otherwise impacted by the data breach involving Crossroads Trading, including all who received notice of the incident, are eligible to participate in the settlement.

Court documents state that approximately 60,041 people are included in the settlement class.

Crossroads Trading settlement class members who submit a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses incurred due to the data breach. This benefit covers losses from identity theft or fraud and costs for credit reports, credit monitoring services, fraud resolution services, long-distance phone charges, and more.

Class members must submit proof, such as bank statements or receipts, to receive a documented-loss payment.

In lieu of a documented-loss payment, class members can file a claim form to receive an estimated $25 cash payment, with no proof required.

The final amount of each class member’s cash payment may increase or decrease on a pro rata basis, depending on the total number of valid claims filed, among other factors.  

Class members who are California residents, or lived in California at any point between February 15, 2025 and October 13, 2026, can submit a claim to receive an estimated $100 cash payment in addition to any other settlement benefits.

Payments to California class members may be reduced on a pro rata basis, depending on how much remains in the settlement fund after the payment of legal fees and other settlement benefits. California residents can submit a claim form for a cash payment in conjunction with a claim for either a documented-loss payment or alternative cash payout.

Finally, all class members can elect on their claim form to receive two years of three-bureau credit monitoring.

To submit a Crossroads Trading settlement claim form online, class members can head to this page and enter the class member ID found on their copy of the settlement notice. Alternatively, class members can download a PDF claim form to print, complete, and return by mail to the settlement administrator.

All Crossroads Trading settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by October 13, 2026.

The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Crossroads Trading settlement following a hearing on January 13, 2027. Compensation will begin to be distributed to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.

The Crossroads Trading class action lawsuit alleged that the used clothing retailer failed to implement reasonable cybersecurity measures to protect the private information of current and former employees, customers, and others from a data breach that occurred on February 15, 2025.

Per court documents, sensitive information that may have been compromised in the breach included names, dates of birth, addresses, contact information, driver’s license numbers or other state identification numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account information and passport information.
