| | ~ In Other News ~ | A recently filed lawsuit is claiming that Temu violated the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending unsolicited marketing texts outside of appropriate hours. According to the filing, companies are prohibited by the TCPA from sending telemarketing calls or messages to consumers before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. at the recipient’s location. Read up on the proposed class action here. | | The company behind Dove beauty products is facing a proposed class action lawsuit that claims the brand’s Sensitive Hypoallergenic Body Wash isn’t as free of allergens as consumers have been led to believe. According to the lawsuit, the product in question contains a skin-irritating fragrance ingredient known as d-Limonene, rendering the “hypoallergenic” marketing representations false and misleading.
