The Vida Y Salud-Health Systems class action settlement received preliminary approval from the court on September 17, 2026. Eligible for the settlement are all United States residents whose private information was potentially impacted by the Vida Y Salud data incident in or around October 2025, including all who received notice of the data breach.

The court-authorized Vida Y Salud data breach settlement website can be found at VSIDataSettlement.com.
Settlement class members who file a timely, valid claim form can receive up to $3,500 for documented, unreimbursed out-of-pocket losses incurred between October 7, 2025 and January 18, 2027 due to the data breach. This benefit covers losses from identity theft or fraud and costs for credit reports, credit monitoring, freezing/unfreezing credit, replacement IDs, postage to contact banks, and more.
Class members must submit proof, such as bank statements or receipts, to receive a documented-loss payment.
In addition, class members can submit a claim form to receive reimbursement for up to four hours of lost time spent responding to the data breach, at a rate of $20 per hour. This benefit covers activities such as changing passwords, investigating suspicious account activity, and researching the incident.
In lieu of any other monetary benefit, class members can file a claim to receive a $50 cash payment, with no proof required.
Should the total value of all valid claims for monetary benefits exceed $500,000, payments to class members will be reduced on a pro rata (proportional) basis.
Lastly, all class members can elect on their claim form to receive two years of CyEx Medical Shield Complete, which includes medical and healthcare information monitoring and medical identity theft insurance.

All Vida Y Salud settlement claim forms must be submitted online or postmarked by January 18, 2027.
The court will determine whether to grant final approval to the Vida Y Salud class action settlement following a hearing on February 2, 2027. Benefits will begin to be made available to class members only after final approval has been granted and any appeals have been resolved.
The Vida Y Salud-Health Systems class action lawsuit alleged that the Texas-based nonprofit medical provider serving underserved rural communities failed to implement adequate cybersecurity safeguards to protect current and former patients’ personal information from a data breach that occurred between October 7 and October 8, 2025.
Court documents state that confidential information that may have been impacted by the data incident included names, Social Security numbers, claims information, diagnoses and conditions, and credit card or bank account numbers.
