New York
The Logan Staffing Solutions Inc. is the defendant in a proposed collective and class action in which a former employee alleges she was not paid for all time worked.
According to the case, the plaintiff was paid $13 per hour while working as a direct support professional responsible for assisting disabled clients with personal care activities, such as getting dressed, bathing and grooming. The woman alleges she was not paid for five to six days of mandatory training sessions.
Moreover, the suit claims the company maintained a practice of paying wages weeks after work was performed, which the plaintiff says resulted in employees receiving two weeks’ worth of pay for a month’s work.
